Heat pipe

The heat-pipe concept is an evolution of the direct flow tube that attempts to eliminate the problem of overheating, present in the hottest climates. In this system, a fluid is used that evaporates when heated, rising to an exchanger located at the upper end of the tube. Once there, it cools and condenses again, transferring heat to the main fluid. This system has an advantage in the summers of hot climates, because once all the fluid in the tube has evaporated, it absorbs much less heat, making it more difficult for the tubes to deteriorate or burst. It also has the advantage of losing less heat during the night, since heat transfer, unlike direct flow tubes, only occurs in one direction.

The indirect flow system requires a minimum inclination of the tubes of around 15º[4]​ to allow correct circulation of the fluid. This system is 166% more efficient than traditional flat plates with copper coils.

Without heat pipe

The difference between this and the heat-pipe model is the use exclusively of glass, without the use of copper like the Heat-Pipe model, which greatly reduces manufacturing costs, as well as maintenance costs. In addition, they are 196% more efficient than flat solar panels (with a coil) and 30% more efficient than vacuum tubes with Heat-Pipe or copper tube.

The direct flow vacuum tube was the first to be developed, and its operation is identical to that of flat solar collectors, where the heat transfer fluid circulates through the tube exposed to the sun, heating up along the way. It is the most efficient solar collection system. The different tubes are placed in series. The disadvantage is that if one of the tubes breaks, you have to close the installation, or that part that is in series.
