Introduction
A local transportation plan, which is divided into full local transportation plan (LTP) and local transportation implementation plan (LIP) is an important part of transportation planning.
United Kingdom
In England, strategic transport authorities (county councils, unitary authorities, passenger transport authorities and London Borough Councils) are expected to prepare them as future plans for a number of years (usually five years), and to submit them to the Department for Transport (DfT).
