Urban reparcelling
Introduction
In Spanish urban planning, reparcelling is the procedure by which the initial plots affected by an urban planning action are replaced by plots suitable for urbanization and construction.

This procedure can be voluntary or forced.
In the case of voluntary reparcelling, the criteria that are taken into account are those freely agreed upon by the parties involved in the process.
Spanish legislation allows forced reparcellation for cases in which voluntary agreements are not reached. In this case, it establishes a series of rules that guarantee that all the initial rights of the affected owners are taken into account and also that none of them benefits over another as a consequence of the Reparcelling.
