Urban rebalancing plan
Introduction
The Girona Urban System (in Catalan, Sistema Urbà de Girona) is a population entity that brings together different municipalities, with a high potential for demographic and activity growth, and which may be able to compete with the central metropolitan system of Barcelona. Basically these are the municipalities of Gerona, Aiguaviva, Bescanó, Celrá, Fornells de la Selva, Llambillas, Quart, Riudellots de la Selva, Salt, San Gregorio "San Gregorio (Gerona)"), San Julián de Ramis, Sarriá de Ter, Vilablareix and Viloví de Oñar.
Girona Urban System
The Gerona Urban System is defined as a rebalancing area of Catalonia and located outside the metropolitan area of Barcelona. The Urban System is classified as a Level 1 system. This defines a system of more than 100,000 inhabitants, with a high potential for demographic growth and activity, and that may be able to compete with the central metropolitan system of Barcelona.
