Urban quality indicators
Introduction
ISO 37120 Sustainable development of communities - Indicators of urban services and quality of life[1] defines and establishes methodologies for a set of indicators to guide and measure the performance of city services and quality of life.
This standard was developed by the ISO/TC 268 technical committee.[2].
History
The standard was developed by ISO/TC 268, which became operational in 2012. The first edition of ISO 37120 was published in May 2014. Currently, the World Council on City Data, based in Toronto, is working globally to certify cities under ISO 37120.
