urban intangible cultural heritage
Introduction
UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity is a program that aims to guarantee the best vision of the intangible cultural heritage of diverse cultures on the planet and awareness of its importance.[1].
Through a compendium of the different oral and intangible treasures around the world, the program aims to draw attention to the importance of safeguarding intangible heritage, which has been identified by UNESCO as an essential component and repository of cultural diversity and creative expression.[2][3].
The program was established in 2008, when the Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage came into force.[4].
