Urban documentation center
Introduction
The World Heritage Cities Center (CCPM) is a documentation, study and research center on World Heritage Cities created by the Regional Government of Castilla y León through collaboration agreements with various institutions such as the Group of World Heritage Cities of Spain) or the University Institute of Urban Planning of the University of Valladolid, following the recommendations of UNESCO and in development of the PAHIS Plan for the Historical Heritage of Castilla y León 2004-2012.
In addition to research and dissemination work, the Center's mission is to promote the meeting and exchange of experiences between the various agents and institutions involved in the preservation of the Outstanding Universal Value, with the aim of generating urban planning instruments for action appropriate to face an important challenge: the adaptation of the urban areas inscribed on the World Heritage List to the requirements of today's world, while preserving the essence of their integrity and authenticity.[1].

The palace is a magnificent example of Renaissance civil architecture, declared an Asset of Cultural Interest in 1979 and recently restored.
