Territorial Financial Management
Introduction
The General Directorate of Budgetary Stability and Territorial Financial Management of Spain is the governing body of the Ministry of Finance "Ministerio de Hacienda (Spain)"), attached to the General Secretariat of Autonomous and Local Financing, in charge of developing the Ministry's functions related to the economic-budgetary management of the autonomous communities and local entities "Local Administration (Spain)").
History
The general directorate was created in July 2020 due to the "need to provide a new structure to the General Secretariat."[1] This body, which is currently the only governing body of the General Secretariat for Autonomous and Local Financing, assumed a large part of the powers that it previously managed directly.[2].

The general management is structured into the following management bodies:[3].
The functions listed in point 17 of the previous section of this precept will be exercised by each of the different subdirectorates dependent on the General Secretariat of Autonomous and Local Financing and the General Directorate of Budgetary Stability and Territorial Financial Management, in relation to the scope of their respective powers.
