Introduction
Techint S.A. / Techint Compagnia Tecnica Internazionale S.p.A. (previously called "Compagnia Tecnica Internazionale") is an Italian-Argentine multinational business group[1] created by Agostino Rocca with headquarters in Milan and Buenos Aires.[2][3][4]It has operations in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Canada, Colombia, Ecuador, United States, Guatemala, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Peru, Romania, Venezuela, Nigeria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Sudan, Uruguay and Trinidad and Tobago.
It is the largest steel producer in Argentina and the largest global producer of seamless pipes, used mainly in the oil industry. It is a leader in the areas of petrochemicals, refining, mining, industrial plants, water treatment plants, pipelines, telecommunications, information technology, routes and highways, marine terminals, bridges, dams and airports.[5] In 2023 it had a steel production of 14.8 million tons.[6].
It is mainly dedicated to the production of steel. It owns more than 100 companies around the world, with a permanent workforce of 20,000 employees spread across all continents.

Company history
1960s
At the end of the 1960s, Techint installed a cold rolling factory in Ensenada "Ensenada (Buenos Aires)"), near La Plata "La Plata (Buenos Aires)"), this being the beginning of the integrated business operation of its companies.
1970s
At the end of the seventies, the Buenos Aires mayor of the military dictatorship, Osvaldo Cacciatore, aimed to create one of the landfills of the nascent CEAMSE, a public company that continues to control the management of garbage in the Federal Capital and the province of Buenos Aires. At that time, the company Saneamiento y Urbanización S.A. also appeared. (SYUSA), owned by the Rocca emporium, dedicated to providing "public sanitation services." In 1978, CEAMSE and SYUSA signed a 20-year concession contract for the private company to be in charge of operating the landfill located in the town of Villa Domínico, between Avellaneda and Quilmes.
