Introduction
Bouygues S.A. (French pronunciation: ) is an industrial group based in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, France.
Bouygues is listed on the Euronext Paris stock exchange and is one of the main companies listed on the CAC 40 index. The company was founded in 1952 by Francis Bouygues and since 1989 it has been under the management of his son, Martin Bouygues. In 2017 it had more than 115,530 employees in 90 countries and generated 32.9 billion euros in revenue. The group specializes in construction (Colas Group and Bouygues Construction), property development (Bouygues Immobilier), media (Groupe TF1) and telecommunications (Bouygues Telecom).
History
The company was founded by Francis Bouygues in 1952. In 1970 Bouygues began trading on the Paris Stock Exchange. In 1985 and 1986 Bouygues acquired the road construction groups Screg, Sacer and Colas; It was later reorganized as Colas Group. In 1987, the company began operating the TF1 television channel and in 1988 Bouygues moved to its new headquarters, the Challenger complex, in Saint-Quentin en Yvelines. In 1994 the company launched Bouygues Telecom and in 2006 acquired 21.03% of Alstom.
In 2014, following Alstom's transfer of its Energy activities to General Electric, Bouygues granted the French government a purchase option that allowed it to acquire a maximum of 20% of Alstom, currently owned by the group.[2][3][2][4][5].

• - Groupe TF1 (43.9% of the shareholding): audiovisual group, made up of TF1 and 8 other television channels.
