Table Lamps
Introduction
A flexo is a table lamp with a flexible handle, usually associated with studying or night work.[1] The name, which comes from its flexible handle"), allows freedom of movement and different positioning, both to illuminate important parts of the desk or work table and to avoid glare. Sometimes the lampshade or screen that covers the bulb is also usually flexible.
Countless types of flexes have been created in different materials, shapes and colors, becoming an important part of the decoration of studies and bedrooms of children and adolescents. In addition, they have been created fixed to the table by the edges to save space or not get in the way when the paper or document requires freedom of movement around the tabletop (for example, an architect working on a project).
The lamps known as flexo are inspired by both Jac Jacobsen's 1936 design under the name L-1 and the original 1928 design by Marianne Brandt and her Kandem 702 lamp.
As an anecdote, a flexo is the mascot of Pixar (the international animation company) and it was also a previous radio program for Gomaespuma since its members started in it.
