Superior Council of Colleges of Architects
Introduction
The Superior Council of the Colleges of Architects of Spain (CSCAE), is the state-level council of the Official Colleges of Architects in Spain, and is the professional body established for Spanish architects. The council's headquarters are located on Paseo de la Castellana, Madrid.
History
The foundation of the CSCAE began by the council of architects in 1929, established by the Government Decree of June 13, 1931, which was ratified by the Spanish constitutional court (Cortes Constituciónntes) on November 4, 1931.
The CSCAE includes 17 regional councils, one for each of the Spanish autonomous communities, but originally had the following six regional councils:
• - Council of the provinces of La Coruña, Lugo, Orense, Pontevedra, Oviedo, León, Zamora, Salamanca and Palencia, located in León "León (Spain)").
• - Council of the provinces of Álava, Vizcaya, Guipúzcoa and Navarra, located in Bilbao.
• - Council of the provinces of Lérida, Gerona, Barcelona, Tarragona, Huesca, Zaragoza, Teruel, Logroño and the Balearic Islands, located in Lérida.
• - Council of the provinces of Santander, Burgos, Soria, Segovia, Ávila, Madrid, Toledo, Ciudad Real, Cuenca, Guadalajara, Cáceres, Badajoz and Valladolid, located in Madrid.
• - Council of the provinces of Castellón, Valencia, Alicante, Albacete and Murcia, located in Valencia.
• - Council of the provinces of Huelva, Seville, Córdoba, Jaén, Granada, Almería; Málaga, Cádiz, North Africa and the Canary Islands, located in Seville.
It currently includes the regional schools of the autonomous communities of Galicia [COAG], Asturias, Cantabria, Castilla y León (west), Castilla y León (east), La Rioja, Aragón, Catalonia, Valencia, Balearic Islands, Murcia, Castilla-La Mancha, Extremadura, Andalusia [CACOA], Canary Islands and the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla.
Features
Since its creation, and as a public law corporation (Spain) "Public law corporation (Spain)"), the Superior Council of the Colleges of Architects of Spain brings together all the autonomous territorial Colleges for the objectives of general interest as a body that represents architects, at a professional level, before public and private, national and international institutions. In addition, it coordinates the Deontology (professional) "Deontology (professional)").
