Solar Panels for Swimming Pools
Introduction
A solar heater is a device that uses solar energy that reaches the Earth's surface in the form of radiation, to heat water, sometimes using another substance, such as oil, brine, glycol or even air. Its most common use is to heat water for use in sanitary services (showers, washing clothes or dishes, etc.) or swimming pools, both in homes, hotels or other industries.
A solar heater can reduce the energy consumption used to heat water. Such a reduction can be up to 50%-75% or even 100% if it is completely replaced, eliminating gas or electricity consumption at certain times of the year. Developing countries that have climates that are very conducive to the use of these systems, their use is not widespread due to the initial cost of the equipment and installation. In several developed countries, state regulations require the use of these systems in newly built homes.[1].
The efficiency of the heaters is sufficient but not excessive, but since the energy is free (and non-polluting) its use is almost always absolutely profitable.
One of the main reasons why solar water heaters with vacuum tubes have greater weight than any other form of energy is that when it comes to heating water, it is the efficiency they provide us. The efficiency here means that solar vacuum tubes convert almost 80% of radiation into thermal energy.[2].

Existen 3 componentes básicos en un calentador solar:.
Manifold
Also called solar collector or solar thermal panel. It is the component that is responsible for capturing and transferring solar energy to water.
It consists of a metal plate in which a pipe or conduit is embedded or glued, forming meanders, through which the water flows. Plate and pipe are painted matte black or covered with selective paints such as black chrome to avoid reflecting light and thus achieve greater heat absorption. All of this goes in a thermally insulated box, with one of the large sides, the one that will be exposed to the sun, made of glass.
