solar accumulator
Introduction
A solar collector or solar collector is any device designed to collect (collect) the energy received from the sun and raise the temperature (the thermal level) of a fluid with a view to its use. The collectors are divided into two large groups: low-temperature collectors, used mainly in domestic heating systems, domestic hot water and pool air conditioning, and high-temperature collectors, made up of mirrors that concentrate solar energy, and are usually used to produce the steam that drives a turbine for the generation of electrical energy.
Low temperature collectors
Contenido
Existen tres sistemas:.
Very high temperature collectors
Sometimes called solar oven, they are systems to obtain very high temperatures. In the past it was made with fixed parabolic concentrators (Odeillo solar oven) and currently it is made with fields of adjustable flat mirrors that direct their reflection and concentrate it at a single point located on a tower, where water vapor is generated, which is usually used to produce electricity.
Applications
Solar collectors have multiple uses, among which are: preparation of hot water for sanitary uses, pool air conditioning, heating, solar cooling, creating steam, cooking, sterilization, pasteurization, desalination, washing, drying, tinting, among others, both domestically and industrially.
