Single-family home
Introduction
Single-family housing is one in which a single family occupies the entire building, unlike collective housing.
It is a building developed to be occupied entirely by a single family, and can be isolated, semi-detached or semi-detached. Urbanistically, it generates low-density areas, but its environmental impact and service infrastructure, in addition to the vehicular traffic it generates, are very significant.[1].

Se suelen distinguir tres tipos de vivienda unifamiliar.
Isolated or exempt single-family
It is that building inhabited by a single family that is not in physical contact with other buildings. They are normally surrounded on all sides by land belonging to the home, where a private garden is usually installed. In this aspect there are variants; Thus, the home can have one, several or all of its sides aligned with the public road or public streets.
Semi-detached single-family
In this case, two single-family homes are built that are externally in contact, although in their interior distribution they are completely independent, each of them having its own access from the public road.
Similar to the semi-detached, but this time each home is in contact with two others (one on each side). This type of housing is usually characterized by having a narrow and elongated floor plan and by the presence of windows only at the ends of the house.
linguistic use
In other languages, such as English, only isolated ones are called single-family. On the other hand, in Spanish, it usually refers to the three types mentioned and, in general, to any home that is not under a horizontal property regime.
Accessibility
Currently, accessibility is taken into account in the construction of new homes. Accessibility to the upper floors should not become a future problem that causes the home to be sold.[2] In this way, ramps and pre-installation of a wheelchair-width elevator shaft are included. This does not happen in many countries.
