serious accident
Introduction
Accident (from Latin accĭdens, -entis) is defined as an unplanned and unwanted event that causes damage, injury or other negative impact on an object or subject. To take this definition, it must be understood that damages are divided into accidental and intentional (or intentional and negligent) (Robertson, 2015). The accident is the consequence of negligence when taking into account the risk factors or the possible consequences of an action taken.
The breadth of the terms of this definition forces us to keep in mind that the different types of accidents are conditioned by multiple phenomena of an unpredictable and uncontrollable nature. The most common sense of the word refers to involuntary actions that harm human beings. In this sense, the group that generates the highest mortality is traffic accidents.
Basic causes and immediate causes
Contenido
Basic causes
The basic causes can be divided into personal factors and work factors.
Various accidents are caused by personal factors, that is, they are linked to human behavior. These factors can be:
A workplace must provide safety elements for its personnel. Management or leadership is responsible for guaranteeing its existence and correct execution. When this is not the case, one of the following factors can cause an accident.
