Segmental bridges
Introduction
The so-called Old Bridge or Romanesque Bridge crosses the Alberche River as it passes through the Spanish municipality of Navaluenga "Navaluenga (Ávila)"), in the province of Ávila. It presents four eyes&action=edit&redlink=1 "Eye (bridge) (not yet written)")[1] with vaults that range from very low segmental arches at the beginnings to the vault of the main span.

The Romanesque bridge of Navaluenga was built in the century with granite ashlars joined by mortar. The piers are reinforced with two triangular cutwaters on the side of the direction in which the water of the Alberche descends, reaching the parapet of the bridge itself and compose local widenings that would facilitate the crossing of people or loaded animals.
