Security Protocol
Introduction
A Security protocol is a regulation that establishes guidelines for action to unify criteria regarding security policies.
It must be agreed upon by the different actors involved (security forces, police forces, ministries of justice and security, other actors) and allow, when applied, to resolve situations more efficiently.
The protocols must be carried out by personnel with knowledge of security and the specific matter, while the various impacts on their actions must be considered.
Public Security Protocols
The use of protocols in public security is useful to maintain work criteria and thus avoid unnecessary disagreements or conflicts.
Some protocols are listed below:
Use of protocols
The use of security action protocols is applied in the various activities of the discipline. So, for example, each area of security has its own protocols, such as Security and Hygiene[5] or electronic sweeps,[6] March 27, 2019, El Telégrafo.
The action protocols also define political guidelines,[7][8][9] although they should not distance themselves from technical knowledge.
On many occasions, in the event of incidents, the protocols are reviewed and rethought [10] applying concepts of continuous improvement.
