Introduction
Juan Carlos Gómez Vargas (Jódar, December 3, 1970) is a Spanish civil engineer and university professor.[1][2].
Biography
Civil, Canal and Port Engineer from the University of Granada, he completed doctoral studies at the Department of Graphic, Architectural and Engineering Expression at the University of Granada to subsequently obtain the title of Doctor of Civil, Canal and Port Engineering from the same university in 2003.[3] His doctoral thesis titled "Latest trends in environmental signage and their impact on territorial planning within the of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia" [4]obtained the highest academic qualification.
He is also Senior Technician in Occupational Health and Safety and Prevention Management Systems Auditor, both specialties studied at Suffolk University. Madrid Campus. To complete his training in these fields, he completed the University Expert in Health and Safety Coordination[5] postgraduate degree at the University of Seville.
With an extensive professional career,[6] in a very summary way, he has worked in different fields of civil engineering carrying out different responsibilities, highlighting the positions of Responsible for the Construction Activity, Technical Director of the Southern Region and Responsible for the training of newly hired Technicians in the multinational company Bureau Veritas as well as Coordinator of the Civil Works area and Head of the Structures Department in Vorsevi, S.A"), important company with Andalusian roots with national and international projection. Previously, it had also carried out Consulting and Project Management work in different companies.
Since 2005, his professional performance has been carried out in the Environment and Water Agency of Andalusia, as Provincial Technical Responsible for actions in Hydrographic Basins and Water Environment Management") as well as in Supply and Sanitation Infrastructures,[7] assuming the tasks of coordination and management of a multidisciplinary work team.
