Introduction
The Emergency Immediate Response Team (ERIE) is a group of volunteers from the Spanish Red Cross (CRE)&action=edit&redlink=1 "Spanish Red Cross (CRE) (not yet written)") dedicated, equipped and trained to act in the event of an emergency anywhere in the national or international geography. They are a response model, as part of the strategy of "responding to the evolution of situations of vulnerability in society", designed to address the needs of victims through the execution of necessary tasks appropriate to these needs; They are activated in less than 12 hours from the time they are called; For faster responses (less than 1 hour) with the necessary quality and safety, the Spanish Red Cross established the Basic Emergency Response Teams (ERBE) in 2019, with a successful pilot experience in Castilla y León, which is now being implemented in other autonomous communities. There are also Emergency Response Teams (ERU); designed to be deployed to other countries for up to four months, usually in cooperation with the Red Cross of other countries, under the coordination of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
The ERIE are activated according to the CRE's Relief and Emergency Intervention Plan in the event of disasters caused by causes: natural, technological, war or social conflicts. Some examples are: dangerous situations in public places, situations associated with terrorist action, as well as accidents in the transportation of travelers by air, land and sea, extraordinary natural phenomena, etc.

ERIE for Health Assistance and Victim Classification
The ERIE for healthcare and victim classification is defined to intervene throughout the national territory, with the following activity profiles: on-site assistance, classification and evacuation of victims. When the number of victims exceeds the immediate availability of health resources intended for pre-hospital care in a normal situation, it is necessary to have means that enable classification tasks, immediate assistance, collaboration in the ambulance evacuation wheel and waiting until there is a means of transportation appropriate to the injuries.
