Real estate asset management
Introduction
The State Commercial Property Management Company (also known by its acronym SEGIPSA) is a Spanish public company owned by the Government of Spain, through the Ministry of Finance "Ministerio de Hacienda (Spain)"), which carries out for the General Administration of the State and the agencies dependent on it all types of actions entrusted to it on the assets or property rights that make up the public assets or that are susceptible to be.[2].
Likewise, it also carries out training and maintenance work on the Real Estate Cadastre that corresponds to the General Directorate of the Cadastre under article 4 of the Real Estate Cadastre Law.[3].
History
The State Commercial Real Estate Management Company of Patrimony M.P., S.A., was established on February 14, 1977, with the name of Propiedades Sociales de Madrid, S.A. (VISOMSA). Subsequently, on January 9, 1984, it changed its corporate name to the State Management Society for the Rehabilitation and Construction of Housing, S.A., becoming wholly dependent on the General Directorate of State Heritage. On May 21, 1992, the corporate name was changed again, which became Sociedad Estado de Gestión Inmobiliaria de Patrimony S.A. On November 11, 2016, the corporate name was modified again, adopting the name of SEGIPSA, Sociedad Mercantil Estado de Gestión Inmobiliaria de Patrimony, S.A. Finally, on May 17, 2017, it adopted its current corporate name.
On September 18, 2012, the sole shareholder of SEGIPSA approved the merger by absorption of Inmobiliaria de Promociones y Arrendas, S.A. (IMPROASA) and Infraestructuras y Equipamientos Hispalenses, S.A. (INFEHSA), in compliance with the Agreement of the Council of Ministers "Council of Ministers (Spain)") of March 16, 2012, published by Order HAP/583/2012, of March 20.[4] The date of accounting effects of this merger by absorption was January 1, 2012, with the public deed of the merger being formalized on October 25, 2012, and its registration in the Commercial Registry of Madrid "Registro Mercantil (Spain)") on December 11, 2012.
