Protected rehabilitation plan
Introduction
Protected housing in Spain is defined as those homes built in Spanish territory in accordance with design and quality regulations, in accordance with the established administrative procedure that declares them as protected, and for whose construction and/or acquisition the public administration provides aid of various kinds, establishing as the most important limits the price of the home and the income of the purchasers or tenants. Protected housing is one of the public housing policies that guarantee access to decent housing.

It proclaims the right of all Spaniards to decent and adequate housing, orders public authorities to promote the conditions necessary for the effectiveness of this right through the adoption of pertinent measures and aims, in particular, to regulate land in accordance with the general interest to prevent speculation.
