Prefabricated diaphragm wall
Introduction
Precast concrete panel screens are a type of "Screen (retaining structure)" screen, or flexible retaining structure, commonly used in architecture only.
As their name indicates, they are made up of prefabricated concrete elements, in the shape of generally rectangular panels.
For its placement, a trench with dimensions slightly larger than those of the prefabricated panel must be created. The panel is then introduced into the trench, and bentonite or cement is poured around it.
This construction system of screens "Screen (retaining structure)") is practically not used in Spain, where the most used flexible retaining structures are sheet piles and diaphragm walls.
