Portable Fire Extinguisher Regulations
Introduction
EN 3, in Spain UNE-EN 3, is a European Standard that specifies the requirements for portable fire extinguishers.[1] Compliance with the standard is a legal requirement for the construction of all fire extinguishers in the European Union.
The standard, called Portable fire extinguishers, was initially published in 10 parts:
Parts EN 3-1, EN 3-2, EN 3-4 and EN 3-5 were withdrawn and replaced by EN 3-7, EN 3-8 and EN 3-9.
The EN 3-6 part was withdrawn and replaced by EN 3-10.
