Polycentric city
Introduction
The Metropolitan Region of Bajío, is a polycentric megalopolis formed by the geographical and cultural conditions and the proximity of the cities of the different states that make up the Mexican Bajío "El Bajío (México)") and which is part of the North Central region of Mexico.

Industrialization
Recently, there has been a large-scale reactivation of the economy throughout the Mexican Bajío region "Bajío (México)"). The major participants in this transformation are the agro-industrial, metal-mechanical, chemical, leather-footwear, manufacturing, services, educational, financial, health and automotive sectors.
Several companies in the automotive sector are seeing interest in this area, such as the cases of the State of Guanajuato where General Motors car manufacturers are located in Silao, Honda and Toyota in Celaya and Mazda in Salamanca "Salamanca (Guanajuato)"); In the latter there is also a Toyota production line, Engine Plants (Volkswagen Silao, Ford Irapuato and Honda Celaya) and a bus manufacturer (Hino Motors Silao), which will mean that 5 of the 8 cars produced in Mexico will be from this entity. There are two Nissan plants in Aguascalientes and a third Renault-Nissan Alliance plant will be built, where together they will produce 1,300,000 units per year. Another state with manufacturing companies is San Luis Potosí with the second General Motors plant in the region and the German BMW.
Throughout the region there are dozens of supplier companies: Flextronics, Sensata), American Standard, Jatco), etc. And several companies that supply large companies are seeking to establish themselves in this area in the coming months for supplies.
Converting this area as a large industrial mega corridor of the Bajío, covering these states already mentioned, favored by important communication routes such as roads in perfect conditions, international airports (Guadalajara, Bajío, Querétaro, San Luis, Aguascalientes and Morelia), railway transportation, an inland port, cities and industrial parks with all services, high quality of life, growing middle class, excellent universities and, consequently, highly qualified labor.
