Plan of action
Introduction
An action plan, action plan, action plan or action program is a document – in paper or computer format – that describes the actions necessary to achieve one or more objectives.[1] Alternatively, it can be defined as “a sequence of steps that must be taken, or activities that must be carried out, for a strategy (games) to be successful.”[2].
Preparation process
Origin
An action plan is a tool in social and business planning. It is an organizational strategy to identify the necessary steps toward a goal. It takes details into account and is considered more efficient than improvising performances at every moment. An action plan that an organization makes public also serves to express its commitment to society, which can help achieve the goals outlined in that plan.[3].
Goal Setting
An action plan is developed to achieve objectives. Which is it? Generally ones that the organization that prepares the plan considers pressing (action plan against sexual violence,[4] action plan against poaching...).[5] The objectives must be selected from those that seem sufficiently important and sufficiently related. For example, it makes sense for a company to develop an action plan to increase its sales and improve the quality of its products (by increasing quality, in principle, it will sell more; the objectives can be achieved through the same actions). But it makes less sense for you to create an action plan to increase corporate social responsibility and, at the same time, lay off half your workforce. When the objectives are not related, it is better to develop several action plans.
Preparation of the plan
Creating action plans is so common that there are guided steps that must be followed to ensure success. However, the structure can be modified in the process.
