The Natural Spaces Services Management of the Natural Spaces and Green Infrastructure Area of the Barcelona Provincial Council promotes and manages this environmental education program. At the same time, it has the financial support of the participating municipalities. The program, aimed at 6th grade primary school students in schools in the province of Barcelona, aims to raise awareness of the nearest natural environment and raise awareness of natural and cultural heritage. This objective is achieved through prior work in the classroom and a guided pedagogical itinerary in the protected natural spaces of the Natural Parks Network.
It is a program organized by the Area of Natural Spaces and Green Infrastructure of the Barcelona Provincial Council that began to be developed in 1992 and that, currently, reaches ten of the fourteen spaces that make up the Network of Natural Parks. It is aimed at 5th grade primary school students from the schools in the area of each park where it is held. The purpose of the program is to publicize the nearest natural environment and promote awareness of environmental problems.
It is a poetic cycle that was born in 2005 as part of the Viu el parc program. It is based on a series of readings and poetic recitals that take place in ten spaces of the Natural Parks Network.
It is an annual musical cycle that has taken place in the parks and protected natural spaces of the Natural Parks Network of the Barcelona Provincial Council since 2013. We find recitals in the middle of unique settings, which confirm the relationship between the human voice and our humanized landscapes, in a unique and singular harmony.
The program works to disseminate culture in protected natural spaces that are part of the Natural Parks Network. The main objectives of this proposal are, on the one hand, to connect the artistic discipline of opera with nature and, on the other, to bring this musical genre to the general public and to populations with fewer inhabitants.
It is a sustainable development program promoted by the Barcelona Provincial Council that aims to highlight the natural, cultural and landscape values of the Natural Parks Network, using gastronomy as a story line and involving producers, processors, wineries, accommodation and restaurants rooted in the territory.
This is a project aimed at getting to know the territory as well as the natural and cultural heritage of the environment. Documentaries, talks, workshops and guided tours organized by the public libraries of the municipalities established in each area of influence of the Natural Parks to bring reading and nature closer.
The Natural Parks Network makes available to people a wide range of more than 200 signposted itineraries that are made following the indications and information boards at the starting points (some of them adapted for people with physical or visual disabilities), and which can also be consulted in the Gooltracking, Wikiloc and Itineraris Parcs apps through the following links:
Inclusive dramatized routes
Natural spaces are the best possible setting to integrate nature, culture and history through artistic expression and the symbolic language of theater. Dramatized visits in protected natural spaces bring the natural, cultural and ethnographic heritage to life and allow us to discover the origins and evolution in an enjoyable way, associated with a pleasant or heartfelt memory, elements that reinforce the emotional connection with the space and motivate an attitude of respect and appreciation.
For this reason, the dramatized routes facilitate access and participation for all audiences and offer resources to support accessibility in the event that they are required (interpretation in LSC, audio description for blind people and directional bars and joëlette service).
They are outings that are aimed at a general and family audience that allow them to learn, through the guide of experts who know the territory, the rich natural and cultural heritage of the natural spaces of the Natural Parks Network. There are night observation outings of migratory birds and nesting birds, outings dedicated to the geological landscape, fauna and flora, and outings to discover the built heritage and the human footprint on the territory.
