Introduction
GLPi (acronym: in French: Gestionnaire Libre de Parc Informatique)[1] is a free information technology service management (ITSM) solution, an incident tracking system and service desk solution. This open source software is edited in PHP and distributed under a GPL license.[2].
Like any open source technology, code that is free can be run, modified or developed. In this way, contributors can participate in the evolution of the solution by proposing additional free and open source modules on GitHub.
GLPi is a web application that helps companies with the management of their information system. Among its features, this solution is capable of building an inventory of all the organization's resources and managing administrative and financial tasks. The functionalities of this software help IT administrators create and manage a database of technical assets and provide a history of maintenance interventions. The assistance functionality (ticket) offers users a service for reporting incidents or requests based on technical assets or not.[3].
