With the purpose of reinforcing the housing policy and supporting the construction sector, the Junta de Castilla y León has approved the modification of the Urban Planning Regulations of Castilla y León").[11]​.

In 2009, Andalusia classified 23,824 Officially Protected Housing, which is the record for the last 20 years.
