Non-linear urbanism
Introduction
The irregular plan or disordered[1] is a type of urban design with an anarchic appearance, without a defined shape. Its apples can have various shapes. It is the result of a social decision, as in the medieval Islamic city, a multipolar origin, with several centers that grow until they come together, or of the position of several different types of plans, as in our current cities.
Medieval cities also present a great variety of planimetric schemes as a result of the lack of prior planning, meaning that almost all of them arose as a result of natural and organic growth.
Nowadays we can find, in all cities, different types of plan depending on the time in which they were renovated: from the irregular plan of the ancient city, to the radial, orthogonal or linear plan.
