Noise Exposure
Introduction
The effects of noise on health are the consequences that occur on the health of people exposed to high levels of noise at work or in daily life, mainly in the urban environment. The damages that have been frequently observed and that have an impact on people's lives are hearing loss or hearing loss, hypertension, ischemia, discomfort and sleep disturbances; Likewise, changes in the immune system and mutations occur that have been attributed to these high levels of exposure to noise.[1] Also, people exposed to high volumes of sound, such as listening to loud music with headphones, frequenting nightclubs, attending concerts or stadiums, handling machinery and power tools, etc., may suffer from tinnitus symptoms.
In addition to these damages, some presbycusis that can occur naturally according to age is reported in some developed countries in which the effect of cumulative noise is sufficient to impact the hearing health of a large number of the population of large cities over time.[2][3][4].
