New urban centralities
Introduction
The Strategic Public Transportation Systems or better known by their acronym "SETP", correspond to the Smart Cities strategy, which seek to improve the provision of collective public transportation service in intermediate cities in order to structure competitive, efficient and equitable cities, which allow citizens to have safe mobility opportunities, under economic principles.
In depth, SETPs are systems based on the organized and modern operation of public and collective transportation planned for intermediate cities between 200,000 and 600,000 inhabitants. One of its main functions is to reduce the number of necessary trips, act and preserve historic centers, promote business formality, ensure effective control of operations and facilitate the mobility of the city.
