Modules for Hospitals
Introduction
The Relocatable Military Hospital (HMR) is a set of modules of the Argentine Air Force that, interconnected, create a complex medical care system. It is capable of being transported around the world as well as withstanding harsh earthquakes, as demonstrated by remaining operational after the January 2010 earthquake in Haiti, and withstanding temperatures from 15° below zero to 40° degrees thanks to its insulation. It is one of three health centers of its kind worldwide.
Description
The containers form two hospitalization rooms capable of housing twenty beds each, it has two operating rooms that, if necessary, can be extended to other rooms since there are two of them that can be configured according to need. It also has an emergency room, an intensive care unit, 50 inpatient beds and a dental office, a laboratory, kitchen and bathrooms, and the possibility of expanding some areas with tents is planned if necessary. There is also a refrigeration chamber to store food that functioned as a morgue during the earthquake.
