Introduction
Legal maintenance is called the type of preventive maintenance, mandatory according to legislation on the safety of industrial equipment and facilities, which must be carried out periodically by companies or authorized personnel of the company that owns the facilities or equipment.
Legal maintenance is an activity subject to standards in the development of its obligations that apply the provisions of safety regulations and their Complementary Technical Instructions in Maintenance Plans. Control is exercised by the Administration, with the following objective: The risk factor derived from the facilities considered requires increased diligence and precautions to avoid causing damage to people, things and the environment.
Legal maintenance protocols
Each piece of equipment or installation that requires legal maintenance consists of a protocol that indicates the periodicity of the reviews and the elements that must be reviewed or replaced periodically. At the end of each inspection, a certificate must be issued indicating the name of the company that carried out the inspection, and the result of the inspection.
