Logistics city
Introduction
Dubai Logistics City "Dubai (City)") is a part of the overall development in downtown Dubai. Upon completion of its construction, it will become the first logistics platform with all means of transportation. It is located near the Jebel Ali Free area,[1] it will have the capacity to deliver 12 million tons of cargo air "Cargo (measured)") per year, in addition to having its own staff located in a village located in a garden environment with sports and leisure facilities, restaurants, shops and will have the largest international airport, Dubai World Central International Airport, which is currently being built 40 kilometers south of the current Dubai International Airport.
The DLC in a first phase will be fully operational in mid-2009 when the first cargo flights are expected to operate at Dubai World Central International Airport.
The 25,000 square meter distribution center at the DLC is now completed.
