Latent Conflict Mapping
Introduction
Socio-environmental conflicts, environmental conflicts or ecological-distributive conflicts are understood to be disputes between various actors who express different positions, opinions and interests regarding the impact (or possible impact) of human rights derived from access and use of natural resources.[1].
This annex contains a list of socio-environmental conflicts in Chile. Most of them have been extracted from the Map of Socio-Environmental Conflicts of the National Institute of Human Rights,[2] which are classified as active, latent and closed.[3] In addition, the strategic and territorial actors involved in each conflict are presented.
