Mayte Alonso, is a Spanish sculptor, born in Madrid in 1971.[1][2]​.

He graduated in Fine Arts, specializing in Sculpture, at the Complutense University of Madrid. His training was expanded with studies in welding and professional metalworking at the Barajas Secondary Education Institute since 1995. In 1999 he participated in the II Sculpture Workshop of the Marcelino Botín Foundation. Santander, directed by Martín Chirino López. He also participated in the Art and New Technologies Seminar at the CGAC in Santiago de Compostela, as well as in the International Sculpture Symposium in Kyonggi, South Korea.[3]​ Later, in 2006, he participated in the AlNorte '06 Sculpture Workshop, held in Gijón, under the direction again of Martín Chirino López.[1]​ Art and New Technologies Seminar at the CGAC in Santiago or the International Sculpture Symposium in Kyonggi, South Korea. In recent years he has enjoyed scholarships from Rome, Paris and the House of Velázquez and his work has won several awards.

He currently lives and works in Madrid.[3]​.
