La norma ISO 9001:2015 es el estándar internacional de carácter certificable que regula los Sistemas de Gestión de la Calidad (SGC). La serie de normas ISO 9000 promueven la adopción de un enfoque basado en procesos.[1].
Esta norma es la heredera de su versión anterior, la norma ISO 9000-2000, que está siendo revisada y adaptada desde el 2012, y que reflejará al nuevo esquema normativo fijado por International Standards Organization (ISO) que ya se ha aplicado a normas como la ISO 27001 o.
The 2008 standard revision
The development of the new ISO 9001 standard was done through the ISO/TC 176/SC 2 Committee, whose Secretariat falls on the British Standards Institution (BSI).
ISO has established an estimated review frequency of 5 years in the standards to keep its contents and requirements up to date and adapt them to the latest trends and changes that occur in the regulatory context.
This committee has worked since 2012 and several meetings have been held since that date. As a result of these, the corresponding documents have been created in which the progress of the standard has been observed. These documents have been:
The penultimate version of the standard was the so-called Final Draft International Standard ISO/FDIS 9001. The final version of ISO 9001:2015 came to light in September 2015.
