The standard ISO 45001 "Occupational health and safety management systems -- Requirements with guidance for use" in Spanish "Occupational health and safety management systems - Requirements and guidance for use", is an international standard that specifies the requirements for an occupational health and safety management system (in English: OHS, in Spanish SST) and provides indications for its use, to enable organizations to provide safe and healthy jobs, prevent accidents at work and problems of health, in addition to proactively improving OSH.

It is applicable to any organization that wishes to establish, implement and maintain a management system to improve occupational health and safety, eliminate risks and minimize risks (including system failures), take advantage of OSH opportunities. It helps an organization achieve the expected results of its management system.

In accordance with the company's workplace health and safety policy, the expected results of an OHS management system include:

ISO 45001 is applicable to any organization, regardless of its size, type and activity. It is applicable to OSH risks under the control of the organization, taking into account factors such as the context in which the organization operates and the needs and expectations of its workers and other interested parties.

ISO 45001 was developed by ISO/TC 283 occupational health and safety management systems, and first published on March 12, 2018.[1]​.

The standard has not yet been published as a European EN standard.
