ISO 26000 Standard (Social Responsibility)
Introduction
ISO 26000 (Social Responsibility) are a set of guides that establish lines on Social Responsibility established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO for its acronym in English “International Standardization Organization”, and also means “Equal” in Greek).
An ISO Working Group on Social Responsibility (WG SR) led by the Swedish Institute for Standardization (SIS) and the Brazilian Association for Technical Standardization (ABNT) was assigned the task of preparing it. The standard was finally published in November 2010.
It is not intended to be certifying, regulatory or contractual use.
