Creation
Olivier Goy, founder of October, created 123 Investment Managers in 2001, a management company that democratizes capital investment in unlisted companies by opening it to individual investors.[4] October is the logical continuation of 123 Investment Managers, opening the way for a new class of assets, lending to companies.
The first loan was granted in April 2015 to Alain Ducasse Entreprise for the financing of 3 Parisian restaurants (Benoit, A los Lyonnais, Rech) and La Manufacture de Chocolate Alain Ducasse.
Development
In November 2014, the platform raised €7 million[5] from Partech Ventures, Weber Investissements (Financière de l'Échiquier) and executives from October.[5].
In March 2015, in order to accelerate its development, October expanded its roundtable. The platform announces a significant capital increase with major investors.[6] Decaux Frères Investissements, Wormser Frères Bank,[7] Sycomore and two international family offices have joined the historical shareholders of the capital by investing €3.2 million in capital and €25 million on the October platform (lent on the platform on the same conditions as all October clients). In March 2016, the company purchased its competitor Finsquare.[8].
