Due to its importance, its design and execution must rigorously comply with technical, health and safety regulations, to ensure its efficiency and durability.
Components of Hydraulic Installations
Drinking water distribution network
The distribution network is the set of pipes and accessories that transport water from the source or main supply to the consumption points within the building. It is designed to guarantee a continuous and sufficient flow, maintaining water quality and avoiding losses or contamination.
This network includes elements such as shut-off valves, flow meters, filters, and pressure regulation systems. The selection of the type of pipe (PVC, copper, polyethylene, among others) depends on factors such as pressure resistance, durability, compatibility with water and the environmental conditions of the location.
The design should consider the estimated water demand, pressure losses and flow rate to avoid problems such as water hammer or sedimentation, which can affect the efficiency and life of the system.
