Los elementos básicos de un cuarto de hotel son: una cama, un armario, una mesa pequeña con silla al lado y un lavamanos.
Otras características pueden ser un cuarto de baño, un teléfono, un despertador, un televisor, y conexión inalámbrica a Internet. Las distintas formas de servicio se dirigen a las necesidades variables de los distintos segmentos del mercado y también contribuyen a la percepción del cliente de la calidad-precio. Entre los tipos de servicio de comida y bebida se encuentran:.
Servicio a la mesa: Un camarero conduce a los clientes a la mesa. Se les toma nota en la mesa y se les lleva la comida y la bebida. Los camareros retiran los platos sucios.
Servicio de bufé: Suele ir asociado a acontecimientos especiales y los invitados se acercan a la mesa del bufé a recoger la comida y la bebida. Las bodas, las rifas de las iglesias y los brunches del domingo de algunos restaurantes y clubes suelen utilizarlo. El factor distintivo es que el huésped se tiene que acercar a la mesa del bufé a servirse.
Servicio de banquetes: Es muy similar al servicio de silla, porque los camareros llevan la comida a la mesa del huésped. Sin embargo, el servicio de banquetes requiere a menudo que se transporte la comida desde una cocina central. airport hotels

luxury hotels
Although there is no standard classification, five-star hotels are generally found among luxury hotels.
These hotels pay great attention to adding value to their guests' experience. Other factors that could define a luxury hotel are the privacy and exclusivity that it offers. Most Miami Beach hotels have used the "luxury" label to promote their establishments, an example is the Sofitel in Miami. Others like the Hyatt in Cancun are luxury and 5 stars at the same time.
These types of hotels have exceptional service from all their staff, who put 100% effort into covering and meeting all the guest's expectations in terms of accommodation and entertainment. This does not mean that other types of hotels do not do it, but when the guest finds themselves in a luxury hotel, they will always be in constant search for satisfaction from their hosts, not accepting a negative response to their requests. They are characterized by managing a neat and solemn image before the world, differentiating themselves from the rest of the hotels in terms of quality service and broad satisfaction of their clients, whether they are business, leisure or conventional tourism.
Nature hotels
They are located near natural areas of interest such as natural parks, reserves and protected areas. The stays are usually for many days.
Ecological tourism is one of the activities that is growing due to the varieties that nature and the customs that the inhabitants offer us, such as nature, which is the only true source of rest and peace, therefore, one must be very responsible to not cause harm to nature or the natives of the region. Due to its rapid growth it has contributed to the development of tourism activity.
Apartment hotels or aparthotels
They are establishments that, due to their structure and service, have the appropriate installation for the conservation, installation and consumption of food within the accommodation unit. They are classified into five categories identified by gold stars and their symbol is the letters HA on a green background.
Tourist hostels
Establishment that serves tourism during stays that usually last between several days and several weeks. They are usually inexpensive and among them youth hostels stand out. These frequently rent beds in a dormitory and share a bathroom, kitchen and living room, although many also have private rooms.
Family hotels
They are small establishments characterized by family management for travelers that provide restaurant and accommodation services.
inn hotels
An inn "Inn (establishment)") is an establishment for travelers that provides restaurant and accommodation services. Some are very old.
Monument-hotels
They are located in buildings of cultural interest. Examples of this type are hotels located in castles, convents, churches and palaces. Among these are the national paradores of Spain and the pousadas of Portugal.
Spa Hotels
They are accommodations located within spa facilities dedicated to public or medicinal baths. They have an average stay rate ranging from several days to a few weeks.
winery hotels
A winery hotel is a type of hotel establishment, either located in the heart of wineries, vineyards and designations of origin, and/or that has a winery in its own facilities. It is normally part of a broader wine tourism project that offers accommodation, a restaurant, a spa with wine therapy treatments, in addition to the wine tourism activities themselves – tastings, tastings, etc. – that allow you to enjoy wine culture at its maximum expression.[6].
Motels

Hotels that have among their facilities one or more nightclubs of some importance where people drink and dance and where musical shows are usually offered. This is also the name given to hotels located next to clubs dedicated to erotic shows where prostitution is usually practiced. The relationship between these hotels and prostitutes may not exist formally or they may have a relationship that is usually informal, some of them even hiding real brothels.
Sports hotels
They are characterized by their orientation towards the practice of certain sports either in their facilities or in their surroundings. Examples of these hotels are those dedicated to diving or surfing next to the sea, those dedicated to fishing next to waterways and golf complexes, among others.
Gastronomic hotels
They are characterized by offering an exclusive gastronomic offer that is presented as the main one of the establishment.
They have a careful creative cuisine with international influence in their restaurants, tasting of different culinary styles and a varied selection of wines.
In Spain, in recent years the concept of a Michelin-star restaurant becoming a charming hotel has spread.
mountain hotels
Hotel located in the mountains. They maintain hotel quality accommodation, gastronomy and entertainment, especially in ski centers for snow seasons. An example of these are Valle Nevado, Farellones, La Parva, Termas de Chillán and, although it is not a ski center, the Hotel Humboldt, located on Cerro Ávila at an altitude of 2105 m above sea level. n. m. (Caracas, Venezuela), is a 5-star hotel, currently closed.
cliff hotels
Located on the coast but at a high altitude above sea level, they enjoy clear views and total privacy, without necessarily being isolated. Examples of these privileged hotels are the Hotel Riosol in Gran Canaria (Spain), Hotel Caruso Belvedere (Amalfi coast "Amalfi (Italy)"), Italy), Aman Resorts Amankila (Bali island, Indonesia), Birkenhead House (Hermanus, South Africa), Bulgari Resort (Uluwatu, Bali island, Indonesia), The Caves (Jamaica) and Caesar Augustus (Capri, Italy).
seasonal hotels
Also called seasonal hotels. They are hotels with seasonal structures that operate only during part of the year. A typical example are some hotels located in the mountains, in ski resorts, and even on the coast.
Rustic hotels
Located on rustic or rural land. They are usually rehabilitated traditional buildings and sometimes include or are close to agricultural farms.
Theme hotels
Located in leisure complexes or resorts, they are establishments that recreate a certain environment, place or theme throughout their habitat.
The first themed hotels (Walt Disney was one of their promoters) were based on animated series or set in foreign countries, whose objective was to transport the guest to those environments or offer a symbiosis with the environment of the complex in which they are located.
Holiday hotels
They are hotels that have been designed to be enjoyed at any time of the year located on the seafront. There are those with spacious and comfortable rooms, swimming pools, sports facilities, entertainment programs for people of all ages and a gastronomy where you can find different international cuisine dishes.
