Introduction
The Ruhr Industrial Heritage Route (original name in German: Route der Industriekultur) is a trail that connects tourist attractions related to industrial heritage located in the Ruhr region (Germany).[1] It is part of the European Industrial Heritage Route.
The route
The network of trails connects museums and exhibitions presenting the industrial revolution since the century in the Ruhr area. It includes 400 km of road network and about 700 km of cycle paths.[3].
