Heritage city
Introduction
The Organization of World Heritage Cities (OWHC) is an organization that recognizes cities that have in their territory a site inscribed by UNESCO on the World Heritage List. The OWHC was founded on September 8, 1993 in Fez "Fez (Morocco)") (Morocco).
The number of cities belonging to the OWHC is distributed as follows: 7 in Africa, 37 in Latin America and the Caribbean "Caribbean (zone)"), 20 in Asia and the Pacific, 120 in Europe and 20 in the Arab States. Likewise, the OWHC currently has 4 Observer Members: France, Sweden, Tunisia and the Holy See.
