Grills and barbecue areas
Introduction
The quincho, in Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay and Chile,[1][2] is a space or place in a building specially equipped for the preparation and eating of barbecues and intended for meetings and social activities. The name has its origin in the characteristics of the construction, since these spaces are frequently covered with a thatched roof "Quincho (architecture)"), but it is also common to use wooden braces and tongue-and-groove, with a cover of French tiles or corrugated sheet metal.
Normally it has a barbecue or grill, tables, and occasionally chairs for such purposes. They are generally made of bricks and a metal fence raised at a certain height from the base to place food, and may also have a type of shed made of straw or other material. In the space between the grate and the raised base, lit charcoal is placed on the embers to roast the food.[3].
