Freezers
Introduction
A freezer is a device, compartment, or room that maintains a temperature at or below 0 °F (−18 °C) to freeze food and keep it frozen for long-term preservation. [1] [2]
Freezers prevent spoilage by inhibiting bacterial growth and other degradative processes through sub-freezing temperatures. They are commonly found as standalone appliances (such as chest or upright models) or as compartments within refrigerators.
