Forum management
Introduction
MyBB (short for MyBulletinBoard) is a free and open source forum management system. It is programmed in the PHP language and supports MySQL, PostgreSQL and SQLite databases. Allows you to configure master/slave replication and fault tolerance in the database.
Security at MyBB
Although all forum systems have bugs and no system will ever be exempt, security on MyBB is one of the priorities. The update to new versions of the forum by the MyBB development team is carried out immediately after notification and correction of the security holes.
As an addition, users specified as super administrators (in the forum .php files) cannot be edited in the administration panel. That is, even if there is a co-administrator, they will not be able to edit the permissions of the principal, which was the case in other forum systems.
Version history
Contenido
MyBB 1.4
This version brings some new features highly requested by users, such as a moderation panel, a sanctions system in the form of a Warning bar integrated with the system, and a complete restructuring of the administration panel, among many others.
Currently version 1.4.14 is used, but this version has already been superseded by MyBB 1.6 Although it is still supported by MyBB Group.
