Exhibition space
Introduction
A permanent exhibition is the reference exhibition of a museum. It is the space where the main collections can be seen, and where the discourse or theme of the museum that houses it is reflected. Likewise, the daily exhibition of a museum's own pieces that remains open to the public for an indefinite period of time is called permanent exhibition.[1].
One of the aspects that characterizes the museum is the public exhibition of the objects it collects, usually original, and interesting for one reason or another. The exhibition is an effective method of cultural dissemination, the characteristic means of communication of the museum.[2].
The construction of a permanent exhibition consists of several phases: the museological project, the museographic project and the exhibition assembly.
The museological project
Contenido
Research, compilation and conservation of collections
Before starting the museographic project, curators must capture, investigate and catalog the heritage culture that is the object of the permanent exhibition; museums normally have these materials collected and studied. If the museum is new (or newly created), and these works have not been carried out, research, cataloging and prior to the drafting of the museographic project and of course the dissemination of the collection become unavoidable.
The museum project
