The limit state method is a safety approach in structural calculation recommended by various technical regulations "Standard (technology)"), instructions and calculation rules (Eurocodes, CTE "Technical Building Code (Spain)"), EHE, among others) consisting of listing a series of risky situations quantifiable by means of a magnitude, and ensuring with a reasonable safety margin that the maximum favorable response of the structure in each of these situations is greater than the requirement real about the structure.
